|Professor Alec Traynor
Currently Mercy's fiancé, her mission and her biggest hatred. Traynor is a Professor at John Jay Criminal Justice, having specialised in the field of psychological forensics. Based on some of his publishings HYDRA is sure they can use his methods to find potential assets and targets based on behavioural profiling and Traynor's thesis of Ethical Swaying with psychological tools. Mercy is to lure him toward HYDRA, or eliminate him.
|Grant 'Hunt' Metcalf|
Without a doubt, Mercy's favourite person in the world. Grant has been her partner, best friend and support for years, longer than Mercy can really fathom considering how influx their lives are. She's always enjoyed pulling the more sarcastic and caustic reactions out of him, breaking through the quiet, serious, perfect soldier mould in order to find the fine specimen of human underneath. She's entirely dependent on Hunt for a lot of things, not least of all her emotional stability and is more than a little in love with him. Her current mission only highlights it further to herself how entirely gone on the man she is, since she'd happily burn an innocent man if it meant getting her partner back.
To a point, Mercy hasn't ever really been very good at female friends. She can manage to hold something down if it comes to it, but on the whole, she's distant from most women unless there's a point to it -like a mission or sex. With Shae it was neither. Even with the shift back in reality, Mercy still feels like she can call Shae a friend, closer than most friends maybe, which right now she might need since she's close to straight up screwing over HYDRA to get out of this mission. At at least Shae knows more than she thinks she does. Mercy likes the brash, opinionated attitude, even when she's wrong, it makes Shae fun to hang out with.
|Tabitha 'Boom Boom' Smith|
Despite the initial misgivings about Tabitha, Mercy saw something similar to herself in the girl. Mistakes are easy to make, getting out of them was the hard part, doing it with your pride intact even harder still. What Tabby seemed to learn was that it was okay to ask for help, something Mercy didn't learn in time. The kid has some spark, literally at times, and Grant likes her, so Mercy was up for playing big sister where needed. She'd still be open to it, kid just needs a little push; either toward utter anarchy and not giving a fuck, or enough to get out of the shit she's in.
